Why do dancers wear stripper heels?

So why do dancers wear stripper heels?

They make ones backside stick out more. Something about the geometric angles and weight distribution. That and they look sexier wearing them.

Strippers also wear platform heels because the platform provides lift to the heel height so its not a true 8 inch heel but only 4 inches of lift.

They feel like it.

To begin with, the heels take away the attention from their mid section. Another reason strippers wear heels is to appear taller and more glamorous.
